The
Poly-Kor XHD is a multifaceted door capable of filling
the needs of a wide variety of applications. From oversized
openings (12' X 12' shown right), to washdown, USDA,
security, and refrigerated applications the Poly-Kor XHD is
able to withstand the daily rigors of all types of traffic. From
cart and pallet jack traffic to medium duty fork lift traffic, the
Poly-Kor XHD is a rugged and dependable performer. |

The
strength of the Poly-Kor XHD lies in its skeletal
construction. A tubular aluminum frame welded to an
aluminum stile acts as the rugged backbone of the XHD.
This strong, lightweight frame provides the Poly-Kor XHD
excellent dimensional stability. In large openings where slab
and molded doors will warp and lose their ability to effectively
separate two environments, this door retains its shape and seal. |

SPECIFICATIONS
FOR POLY-KOR XHD |
|
|
|
| Custom
Built |
|
Hardware |
Doors
shall be custom manufactured to fit new or
existing openings with the required clearances for proper
door operation. Each leaf shall be made to a tolerance
of +0", -1/8" in width and height. |
|
Hardware
shall be corrosion resistant cast Meehanite
(45/50,000 psi compression) "V" cam. Cam hardware
shall be factory aligned and prepinned to a 1 5/16"
diameter full height steel tube (62,000 psi). Hardware
assembly and door body shall be secured by means of
a full-height extruded clear anodized aluminum mount
reinforced with an interior full-height welded aluminum stile. |

Body |
|
Doors
shall be 1 3/4" thick with a unitized construction
using corrosion-resistant aluminum extrusions with a
.125" wall thickness and continuously welded to form
a high strength internal frame, bonded and riveted to
door facings of abrasion-resistant, high impact PGA
with a full color impregnated finish or 16 gauge zinc-
coated galvanized steel facing (slab or molded type
doors shall not be permitted). Bonding peel strength
shall be 60 psi minimum, standard 2" per minute at
25°C Scott tester. Aluminum rivets shall have a tension
value of 450 lbs. each. |

|
|
|
Seals |
|
Air seals shall
be standard at the jambs, header, floor,
meeting astragals and hardware cutouts. Seals shall control
air infiltration of the total door unit in accordance with
ASHRAE Bulletin 90-75. Laboratory test shall verify air
infiltration control capability of less than 5 cfm per linear
foot of door equipped with full perimeter seals. |
|
|
|
Windows |
|
|
Flexible,
closed-cell, urethane insulating foam core shall
be used to fill all spaces between the extrusions. The foam
core shall be completely bonded to the facing. |
|
Vision panels
shall be 24" high by full width, double
glazed unbreakable GE Lexan® with an optical clarity of
96%. Vision panels shall be secured with aluminum rivets. |
|
|
|
The
leading edge of each leaf shall have a safety
cushioned loop type nosing. |
|

Standard
heavy duty flexible tear-drop bumpers shall be
